Refurbishment of Carlisles historic Market Hall, a Victorian Grade II listed building, and adjoining listed properties in scotch
The building was constructed in1889 from a competition winning design by Cawston and Graham, architects to house Carlisle's traditional open market.
The main features of the building are a very fine cast and wrought iron roof structure designed by A.T Winstanley and fabricated at Cowan and Sheldon's yard in Carlisle, together with red sandstone rubble masonry walling with ashlar details.
